The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) inaugurated a five-day in-country program today, focusing on 21st Century Skills and Industry 4.0 (IR 4.0). The program, running from March 18-22, is a joint collaboration between CTEVT and the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) of the Philippines.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. Khagendra Prasad Adhikari, Vice Chairman of CTEVT. Mr. Shiba Kumar Sapkota, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, graced the event as the special guest.
In his welcome address, Mr. Sapkota emphasized the importance of sharing global knowledge in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Mr. Kesavan Ulaganathan, Governing Board-Engaged Faculty Consultant from CPSC, provided an overview of the program and its structure. Er. Mahesh Bhattarai, Member Secretary of CTEVT, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to actively engage throughout the program.
Mr. Adhikari concluded the inauguration ceremony by extending his best wishes for the program’s success. The program aims to equip 25 TVET professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to address the demands of the 21st century and the evolving landscape of Industry 4.0.
